ABOUT ME

Alena speaking on stage at an event

Therapy for emotional resilience, healing, and meaningful change.

I help adults manage emotions and stress, work through past trauma, and build resources that support greater resilience. My work with you is designed to change the way you understand yourself, relate to others, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and worth living.

I received my doctorate of philosophy from the University of Florida in 2018. Before coming to the United States, I earned my Master’s of Social Psychology and candidate of psychological science in social psychology from Lomonosov Moscow State University. My training includes Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Theraplay, Play Therapy, and Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR).

Over the years, I have dedicated my professional career to helping adults, mothers, children, couples, and families navigate mental health challenges, family dynamics, adjustment, and developmental concerns.

A multicultural, deeply human approach

Because of my own multicultural identity, I connect readily with clients from many backgrounds and life experiences. I work with people who were born in the United States as well as clients from Germany, Russia, Cuba, France, Argentina, and many other places.
